Clearance Lights

I have 2015 Lifestyle 5th wheel. I am looking for a replacement clearance light for the front and rear caps, I believe these lights are the same for all major brands. Would that be correct.

Probably not correct. Each trailer brand decides what type of lighting to use and then bids them out. There are a large number of lighting manufacturers so lighting can be and usually is different.
Best bet is as Kenneth had to do- take the light and lense with you to match up.
  • I had to replace one the other day on my Cameo. Nobody had the brand the came off and couldn't even order it. They measured mine, and went to book and found one that measured exactly the same and made sure it had the two wires. It;s on and looks exact;y like the original.

Well Bumpyroad, would be nice to know your passing a trailer and not a VW bug in the night.

If you pull up behind a 5er and can't tell the difference between that and a VW bug (even unlit) you are not fit to drive at night. If I was worried about this I would slap a bunch of reflectors on the rear, that's why they put those triangular ones on the back of manure spreaders. :)

  • I want as many lights as possible to try to let others know where I am. Bright running lights; head/tail lights (any time I'm in motion); extra turn signals mounted on the finder skirts between the wheels; and a pickup truck tailgate LED strip mounted under the rear window.

I (much) prefer to be easily seen in the fog, rain, and sometimes snow that I've been in to being rear ended by some fool driving too fast for the conditions or just not paying attention.

Last night I changed out the standard taillight bulbs on one side of the TT to bright LEDs so I could compare it to the other side. At this time of year it's not overly dark in Anchorage, but I could tell the LEDs were brighter. I'll change the other side today.

  • I'm changing all of mine out to these from Amazon.

Change the R on the end of the P/N to a Y for Yellow. All of mine needed resealing anyways and one has a burned out bulb. Since these are LED the lens doesn't come off so they appear to be sealed better. There were good reviews on them for brightness.
