Thanks for the comments. If I could find the new springs for $150-200, I might do that. The material fabris is like new and everything else seems in great condition. How do I know if only the front spring torsion assembly (head) is sprung? It seems like when I put the awning all the way out, and took off the Arm Cap kit and spring torsion assembly (heads), and rolled up the canapy by hand on the roll tube and then put the cap kit and spring torsion assembly back in place and then let the awning back out, it still wanted to free fall. I heard the rachet clicking, but it seemed like the rear (left side of awning) head was maybe getting some tension. In the end, I still had to roll it up by hand with two people on ladders. Where do I go to find a replacement part that might work? Someone said the spring torsion assemblies are similar in the A&E 8300 Sunchaser. Where to find one of those??
