Coleman XLE Grill to RV LP Quick Connect

Simple to do. Lots of folks have done this and I was going to do the same until I sold my old trailer. Only issue is if you're taking regulated or unregulated gas off your tanks. If regulated, remove the regulator on your bbq; if unregulated, leave the regulator on the bbq.

I suspect the point you will tap into will be regulated.

I ordered up the regulator part from coleman today, and will do your mod. That way, I can run off the TT's quick connect most of the time, but can still have my original regulator for those times when I want to use the grill away from the camper or at home and run off the small propane bottles.

I am a big fan of the RVQ and used an RVQ regularly on my prior rig.
One reason many campers did not like the RVQ is that they feel the grill did not put off enough heat or get hot enough for them.
The RVQ was a made to stay cool and operate in close proximity to the RV. The Coleman was not designed to be used that close to the RV.
My Coleman definitely generates more heat than my RVQ ever did.

I'm not sure it will be a problem, but it is an issue I would keep a close eye on. Your set up looks great and is well thought out. I suggest you monitor the grill to ensure it does not get hot enough to damage the RV.
I plan to do basically the same thing but I will continue to use the rolling stand that came with my Coleman grill.

I grilled last night then again this morning. Today grill was on high for a good 20 mins the trailer is a good 10 inches from the grill and remains cool to the touch.

So all is great and the 5 hours I spent cleaning and modding the grill were worth it!

Ok sorry for delay. Just cooked my first meal on it. Workks perfectly! Nice and hot and we have a pot of water boiling inside as well so gas was going to 2 appliances simultaneously.

Here's how I converted my Weber:

The only thing that might be different on your Coleman is the fitting required when you remove your regulator. I don't know what size Coleman is but you might find some of this info helpful.

Yes it puts out a nice blue flame just like a mini tank with regulator.
