Maybe that minimal use caused your problem.
Did you let it cycle when first starting truck?

Mine has been trouble free. It gets cycled couple times a day plus gets used regularly/frequently....even when not towing.

If bushing was replaced......are you still using it?

I've got a BD Diesel Performance turbo mounted exhaust brake on my 7.3L

It's right up there with one of the best mods on my truck. I have a banks transcommand, which really doesn't compliment the EB well, I'm planning to ditch the transcommand and install a TorqLoc this spring. I like the ability to lock my torque converter on command.

I have had the Banks brake and the IQ on my 2008 Chevy and have had no issues and would highly recommend it. No modifications to the motor at all. Not sure about having to install a tuner, but I know I did not have to? Perhaps ask about installing the banks brake along with their IQ system?

Banks is telling me that in order to put the banks brake on I need to also install the 6 gun tuner..... I don't want to run a tune, no need to do so...any other options?

I used the Banks Speed Brake on my 2009 Chevy for a few years. I worked great, I had no fear of hills after that. I got the control switch version as i did not see a need for the banks IQ since all I wanted was the exhaust brake.

After having an EB equipped truck you'll never go back.

A Diesel engine has very little useful engine/compression braking.

It doesn't matter which manufacturer you are discussing.... For vehicles which do not have a factory or aftermarket exhaust/turbo brake, the tow haul mode on the automatic transmission does nothing more than provide nicely timed downshifts with a locked torque converter.

Comparing the two is like night and day. Adding an exhaust/turbo brake to an engine that didn't come with one from the factory is a huge upgrade.
