ha anyone here ever put electric heat blankets under their rv flooring? Supposedly, it is only 1/8 thick so if you were replacing carpet with Allure it should fit.
There was an episode of "Ask This Old House" where they covered the installation of an electric heated floor.
It uses heating elements similar to the 'heat tape' that is used for protecting pipes. These are embedded into the floor (grooves in the sub-flooring).
The heating elements are covered with 'thin-set' and ceramic tiles installed.
Temperature control is with a wall mounted thermostat.
I could use some clarification on the difference between an electric heat blanket and an (electric) heated floor element. Would these be 110 volt units?
Not a good idea. If you have the capability instead install a heated floor element under the flooring. It would probably mean taking up the flooring and doing more than a bit of engineering. They have heated tile floors in many coaches. Some are electrical
