LED Strip Light addition -- battery power?

I have used these lights for many things now, including outside (get the waterproof set) lights as you suggest. They are ALL 12 volt and run fine including the remote. The black box in the set you are looking at is the 110v to 12v converter and not needed if using your 12v RV system. I ran mine off the porch light... even put a toggle switch on the light that I can reach to switch between the two VERY different light systems. Also if you want to keep it neat dig through ebay there are angle (right and left) connectors, 'T' connectors, extension wire and mounting blocks etc...
