Pocket Hose

We had a couple of those that rolled up flat! It was a pretty good concept, saved lots of space when not in use. But .... not for constant pressure. They exploded! Never tried anything like that again. I still drink form my green and brown hose laying in the yard though. Never could see the need for the white ones. I'm 60 years old now, and other than a bad knee ... those hoses haven't killed me yet! They go from the yard to the camper and back again! Oh well ... to each his own. I may just live to be 120!

I love someone with a sense of humor!!!!!!! I have bought different versions for the last 3 years. They are all pretty much 1 season limited use hoses. Why do I keep buying them? I need a hose on the patio and hate the clutter of the normal hose.

Three strikes and I'm out. Junk, all three never lasted for more than three uses, except the last one which I babied as per instructions. Brass or plastic, doesn't matter because they don't break there anyway. To bad, it's a great hose when it works.

Mine failed too. Neat concept but junk execution. Had one of the roll flat hoses that lasted 4 years. That is the better way to go.

Yeah.. I was really hoping that these would work for a general purpose hose. Mine burst before I could even take it camping.

I have been using the one I have left for the tank flushing, and some older 'official water hoses' for constant water hook up. One of them finally bubbled and sprung a leak too.

The pocket hose is such a great idea but it does fall short for durability as others have attested to. Use it to spray and don't every let it set with pressure on it and no flow.

I just finished reading a ton of reviews on generally every "pocket hose" type out there. Have yet to find one that I would feel comfortable with buying. Even the high dollar gorilla pocket hoses have issues. Another potential issue aside from the bursting is the small orifice they have at the fitting. I assume this is to help keep pressure on the hose when it's in use but sounds like it's also a water flow restriction. Seems the orifice in the fitting is about 1/4" which is pretty small. My opinion right now after all the reading is the hose just isn't up to the job of supplying an RV with water reliably.

This is how I use mine too. I got the one with the brass fittings and really like it. Would never leave it under water pressure all the time. Well worth the money for what I use it for.

I always thought it was a neat idea, but never got around to buy. Glad I didn't. I have used old "white" drinking water hose and even after they have an issue, just cut it short and use back at the sticks house with a "y" for yard work or the dog's water dish. Thanks for saving me a little bit of cash!
