Roof questions

I purchased my first 5th wheel this past fall. I found this spring, before I've even had the chance to use it, that I had a leak on the roof and some water damage. I'm planning on replacing the entire rubber roof and repairing the soft spot. My question is I see 40 and 60 mil edpm. Sounds like industry standard is 40 mil from what I've read. Any reason to use the 60 or will the 40 be fine?

Is an online supplier ok to use?

I ordered mine through Amazon and got a great deal. I paid $295 for 25' of Dicor branded TPO with Prime shipping and had it in 2 days. The same thing is now $475 on Amazon with free (nor Prime) shipping. I'd shop around locally, but don't rule out an online deal.
  • Buy your EPDM from a roofing supplier. Follow their recommendations for installation.
Most residential and commercial installers in my area will use 60 mil. The RV repairers like to use 40 mil and charge more for it.
