You have to be really certain no electrical, plumbing or duct work is behind the wall and make sure you tie the shelf support into the framing for the wall.
On my RV I can look in different compartments and cabinets to see where wiring, plumbing and duct work goes. I can then judge if there's any of these in the way where I want to get into the wall.
