I mounted a small bubble level on the front of the trailer so I can see it in my drivers mirror. This gives me an idea of the side to side level so I can pull up and use my Anderson levelers on what ever side is low.
Then while I am unhitching the truck the DW will be in the trailer preparing some thing to snack on and fixing me a drink. For front to back level DW will fill a high ball glass with three ice cubes and fill three quarters full with good whiskey, then set the glass on the floor next to the door so before I go around setting the stabs I can look and see how much I need to crank the tongue jack up or down. If the whiskey is more towards the rear of the glass I lower the front a bit, if it is more towards the front of the glass I raise it a bit. Then I zero the level out again by having a good sip and setting it back down on the floor. If it looks good all around the glass I set the stabs down and call it Good!!
My motto; "measure twice level once"!!
