If you purchase a set of hoppy trailerlevels, make your life easier. You only need to use a long level once then attach the hoppy levels at a convienent location at the front corner of your trailer.
I find we're good with a half bubble side to side and easy to level front to back with the landing gear.
What he said, leveled it once in the driveway, stuck the set of hoppy levels on level, done.
Absolutely agree, but the PROBLEM for the OP is finding the spot to get that initial level to begin with!
When we first got our current camper, the first thing I did was make it level (I used the door frame). Once level, I then attached a very small stick on-level right at the switch of my electric tongue jack. Now when leveling, I don't have to run back to the door every time. I can get it very, very close now with the small bubble level, and I always check the door frame last. It's usually so close, I'm good to go.
AFTER finding the initial level, yea ... then stick on the large levels you can see when backing, or jacking, or whatever. But... you need to get that "level" spot before attaching them! That's what the OP is asking about.
