Winter Project: Picnic Table Camp Box

Very good job.

Back in the early '60s my parents had a pop-up and the camp box was the last thing in before the door was closed. They would find a pulloff, stop and pull the box out. Stove, dishes, silverware and a dishpan and drainer. You could get at the ice box with the pop-up closed. I still have the box somewhere.

Very nice. It is good to see a DIY project to fit your needs.

I can of course think of zillions of things to add, which if done with too much abandon would mean that one would need a forklift to put it on the table. Perhaps the first would be a hook or something to hang a trash bag from on the back.

Looks very nice! I always admire the skills of a good carpenter! I've done my share of cabinet building, home remodeling, and a zillion wood craft 'things', so I understand the thoughts and processes that had to go into making your box, and then ... to make it actually work in the end! Very nice job!

I really admire folks when they come up with creative ideas to solve a problem by something they've designed and built, rather than simply going out and buying something ready made. It's truly a craft that many don't possess any more. Well done!
