I bought one new landing gear, with motor and replaced the passenger side gear leg. Then bought a new switch on ebay, with wire for 24.00 and mounted it right next to the existing switch. Matched the old switch almost to a tee. Hardest part was drilling a hole for the back side of the switch to mount flush on the diamond plate and running the wire in some kind of a loom to protect it from chafing. Wiring was easy, ground, battery (fused), 2 wires to the motor (red and black). Don't over think it needing relays and such, nothing operates up and down unless you push the rocker for either motor, and they seemed to travel together speed wise,so just hold both down for down, and up for up. In retrospect, I think it would be better to get a complete new dual switch, with a keyed on/off to protect against little hands and curiosity (speaking from experience). I believe the leg came from Lippert, but it's been awhile.
I got ya on the switches......but the relays were to power a seperate switch that would operate both legs without having to depress both switches simultaneously and if I need to operate individual legs I still could....just to avoid ANY issues with one leg coming down gecause I had a few beers and spaced or got side tracked and BOOOM my frame is tweaked....that is kinda what I was talking about
Thanks for the help and that goes for everyone!:B
