2008 Weekend Warrior CR3705 Landing Gear Issues HELP plz

Hi,

Happy New Year to everyone!

I am looking at replacing my landing gear with atleast a 10-12k (combined) INDEPENDENT system and am looking for some advice.
I would like to find a DUAL switched, direct replacements that don't really require much modification. I have a mechanical background so if it requires modifying it won't be a big problem.

Can anyone recommend some landing gear they've used or point me in the right direction?

As always any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Joe

Would you want landing gear independent of each other? It is nice to have for an inch or two when on an uneven surface but you could really tweak the frame.

Well I was thinking of doing individual motors linked by a switch and able to run independent of one another. Is this not a good idea?

I don't mind the common landing gear I have now and in reality the gear box is twisting alot and it begins to skip when there is a load on the landing gear....not going to last much longer IMO.

Out of curiosity (for those that have WW TH's) does your landing gear gearbox/motor twist and move while the lansing gear is in operation?

  • Check out a RV salvage yard. I got a set for under $300.But I just replaced the one non powered side,so now I have a spare.

    clicky

let us know how it works out, I'm headed for an upgrade as well, had issues over New Years as I was on a pretty good hill and the motor overheated, had to crank for a bit until it cooled off.
