In an early post, I posted the RAWR's
"Rear GAWR will be higher with the 3500 at 7,000 on most configurations. The 2500 varies from 6200 to 6500."
Reason for a 3500 SRW vs 2500
1. RAWR
2. Much higher GVWR at 12,300
3. Aisin Tranny
4. Higher output Engine
5. You get away from rear Coils or the lessor rear air of the 2500
6. Higher resell value
Here is a left over 2014 with Aisin Tranny, that is not that far from you. They should be ready to go lower than the posted price. If I had the money it would be in my drive way!

Good info Chris:)........I'd prefer the 3500 SRW over the 2500 also. The newer 3500 SRW trucks have same GVWR as my 2012 3500 DRW truck had.....
Nice looking truck!
If I had found a better 3500 when looking for mine, I would have gone that way. What I ended up with was a very strong 2001 2500, one owner. That said I am a 2500 owner that tow over GVWR by choice, my 2500 does great, but I think newer 2500 have softer springs than mine.
The 3500 in the listing above would be a very good choice for your plans.
On Edit: Don't know where in Oregon you are, BUT we drove to Burlington, WA. to buy our 5er. If you bought your TV in Bellingham the drive home would cover half of the 500 diff. break-in of 500 miles.
