I’ve tried alt ride height. No difference. I’m using the factory Ram setup(24lb Curt) with the puck system. I’m running Michelin LTX tires with 65lb cold.
Your RV I assume weighs no more than it's 18,000# gross rating. So it's pin weight will be 3,600-4,500#. This is far less than my 5,750# pin. I run 65psi rear with my full RAWR of 9,750#. Weigh your rear axle, use the weight/inflation chart for your tire size and add 5spi to what says.
Running your rear with the rear lower in the alt ride mode the ride will be better.
Now here is your main issue with "CHUCKING" it's your hitch. I know people will scoff at this but it's been documented here and other places the RAM/CURT hitch can cause chucking. Why does this happen? look at the design, the heads pivot point is several inches below the kingpin attachment point.
Use the alt ride, lower the rear tire pressure based on YOUR load and run your air bag hitch to where you have 6" clearance. The less pin weight you have the worse chucking you will have. I have ZERO chucking and my ride is excellent.
If this does not cure the problem sorry to say you need to sell your hitch and buy the one in the pic below, it WILL cure your problem. A in law has the same setup as you and he hates the hitch for several reasons.
I have the same truck as you with factory rear air ride.
