OK, checked the extend/retract rocker switch in the RV, it's ok. Used a short jumper to bypass the switch. Same as using the remote, motor clicks in the retract mode but not the extend mode.
It's either the control board or the motor. Easier to check the motor rather than the circuit board. If I can access the motor I'll just reverse the leads, retract wire to the extend connection and see if the motor kicks in.
So back to my original question, has anybody out there ever accessed their motor? If so, what tips do you have?
