Any Happy Crossroads Rushmore Folks Out there?

Good morning, We have been Heartland owners for a while and found the new Crossroads Rushmore Washington while at Camping World recently. We loved the floorplan...so much more suited for us than our current rig. I have been on both the Heartland owners form and the Crossroads owners forum and as expected there are good reviews and bad on both. But it seems that Crossroads is really taking a beating with negative posts. Im wondering if this is truly a bad company or just a few very unhappy campers...

We love the look and feel of this Rushmore but before we jump off the perverbial cliff and buy it, I sure would appreciate any feedback if any of you folks have had or currently have a Crossroads product.

we spent our first year with our Heartland in and out of the shop for warranty issues so most of the kinks are worked out now but it is scary what some folks have posted about these Crossroads coaches.

Any Advice would be appreciated..
  • We have owned two Crossroads products, a 2003 & 2010. Both were, are good units for the price point.

Many posts on various forums complaining of Lippert frame issues as they are used on the majority of low to mid range campers.

Every company has problems, how they handle those problems makes them good or bad.
  • I own a 2013 Rushmore Lincoln, it did have it's fair share of issues, but that being said Crossroads has stepped up to the plate and seem to be working hard to right the issues.
They brought up factory reps with there own itemized check sheets and found some issues I was unaware off, and are now making arrangements to get those fixed.
Overall I love the Rushmore, great trailer and great layout
  • We bought a 2012 Crossroads Cruiser, and we love it. No problems so far, just little customizations to make it ours. Good luck with your choice!
  • Great luck with our Crossroads product and excellent warranty support.
Ours is an entry level, nowhere near the unit you are looking at.
There were a lot of problems posted on the Crossroads forum with the early Rushmore's, not sure if they are sorted out yet.
  • We have a 2010 31RE Crossroads Cruiser and it has been an excellent fifth wheel. We had a couple of minor things wrong with it when it was new and Crossroads was nothing but helpful when we called their customer service. Things may have changed since 2010 though. We looked at the Rushmore and liked it but we actually have a Columbus 320RS on order. My wife liked it a little more than the Rushmore. I wouldn't hesitate in buying another Crossroads product in the future.
  • no they are still in production lol. We just looked at a new 2014..
  • Last I heard they quit manufacturing them because they had so many problems. Don't know if that's a fact or not.
