- alboyExplorerWe replaced all the flooring except the slideouts and bath/sink area with a high end 12.4 mm AC4 stressed look laminate.Lots of work but looks great and wears like iron. You have to float it and glue the joints, cost was about 1000.00 canadian, best improvement yet on our 35 footer.

I put cork flooring in my last trailer. Loved it! Best flooring ever! I thought it would get beat up really quick but it held up really well!

~ - janegowestExplorerI have seen some of the newer 5ers with plank look sheet vinyl in the middle section.
- TXicemanExplorer IIOur last Cameo had Shaw laminate flooring in a dark cherry with a gloss finish. It was a pain to keep clean and showed every speck of dirt or water spot. It was also subject to scratches and chips and the light backing showed through.
After that experience, we will never have another laminate floor. We now have a nice sheet vinyl floor that looks like stone.

Yes...thanks for sharing! I did not consider that the furniture would slide around. I guess the manufacturers know what they are doing. Looks like carpet in the slide-out is more practical, with laminate everywhere else.
I wonder if putting rubber feet on the furniture would prevent sliding around on laminate?
How does the laminate hold up in the bathroom?
the laminate my husband used has a cushioned roll of protection under it..its on the biggest slide out..we use small folds of that rubbery shelf liner under feet of furniture..plus..on the steel lip..he used a type of caulk same color as the steel lip..to finish..it's dries and adhered perfectly.. - ScottGNomadBefore proceeding, I would check how close the bottom of the slideout comes to the floor. You need to have enough clearance so that it doesn't rub against it.

The carpeting also does add a touch more insulation, so that's a consideration. Unless I had a TH and was ATV'ing a lot, I'd not have a lot of hard floor for just this reason.
