We too are not new to RVing and now have an Atwood in a Fifth Wheel and it is in the slide. fan can not be heard unless outside, it is a must. like earlier said, open the fridge vents and make sure there are not any obstructions. Ours felt warm also, doesn't get as cold as fast as our previous Dometic, but works fine in about a full day. You can still slide the sensor up about a half an inch on the fins to get it a bit colder. about 35* in ours and 27* in the freezer. if not working make sure you get fixed under warranty. other post have mentions the electrical side of the unit may have an issue that will be fixed under warranty. Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !
35*F in food compartment is GOOD
27*F in freezer..........:H this is a misprint correct????
