You can also open the door and hang out and face backwards.
Which brings us to the Dodge trucks that honk the horn while in reverse and the drivers' door is open :(
2nd that! - OutdoorPhotograExplorerGuess I'm in the minority. I've backed trailers since before I had a driver's license and can put a trailer just where I want it turning around and using mirrors only as necessary. I made the mistake of not forcing myself to back with mirrors years ago and backing boats, I had good visibility without mirrors. I'll still cut the wrong way occassionally with mirrors but in recent years I force myself to use only mirrors if I have enough space that I'm not worried about hitting something if I cut the wrong way.

You can also open the door and hang out and face backwards. Actually saw that once.
Looking through that glass (or you can even put it down and not have to look through the glass) you can look back and see the rear of the trailer, .. - To all the posters above that say all they see when they turn their head is the front of the trailer .... try turning your head to the left. When you do that there is a window right there next to your head. Looking through that glass (or you can even put it down and not have to look through the glass) you can look back and see the rear of the trailer, the tires, and even things like trees. It will surely amaze you. This comes in real handy when you are at a 45 degree angle or more.

If I turn and look backwards all I see is front cap of 5th wheel
