best rv tires

The 5er we just purchased has Carlisle RH load range F tires. They are rated for 3960lb per. I haven't weighed the trailer yet but expect it to come out around 3000lb per tire, maybe a little less.

I like the extra buffer capacity, and am hoping the newer Carlisle RH tires do well (I've read all the bad reviews on the prior Carlisles - don't bother to repeat them).

Don't know the cost but might be worth looking at.

Michelin owns BFG and Bridgestone so I guess what fits the pocked book.

I have GoodYear G614's on my Landmark. I replaced the tires on my last Montana which were E Rated and wanted to go to a G Rated Tire and was told that the Wheels were different for E and G Rated Tires.

The ones you can afford.

The actual scaled weight on your axles is what really counts. Even if your fiver has been upgraded to 8k axles the LT E tires will be fine if your total axle weight does not exceed 12,168 lbs (excludes pin weight). Or if you have accumulated excess tire money you can waste some of it on 614s.

Your ST235/80-16 E has 3500 lbs of capacity and come on 7k axles. If this is the case you will need to move up to a Goodyear G614 at 3750 lb capacity or the commercial grade Sailun S637 at 3750 lbs capacity. Both tires area LT235/85-16 G load range.

If your trailer has 6k axles or smaller the tires mentioned above work great.

I tried Yokohama. Found some last spring and replaced the tires on my 2010 Cougar. Liked them enough to insist they get put on the new Big Country I got last fall. Anything but trailer tires. Well maybe Maxxis.
Have had both Duravis 250 and the Transforce on my trucks and not had any complaints at all.

Has anyone tried the kenda tires?

For 6K axles I have had excellent service from B.F. Goodrich Commercial TAs (LT LRE).

With a 5er your size the BFG Commercial TA would work just fine and they are reasonably priced. I have them on mine which weights 12100 loaded for travel and 9500 on the trailer axles. Pulled about 4000 miles so far.
