bough a Keystone Hobbi today

Its going empty for its first big trip, no toys just clothes and gear. With 2 batteries and 2 propane tanks I have about 750 pounds of tongue weight

Looking on the web on how to use the different systems (still need to see if the fridge freezes enough for meat) I found out the previous owner didn't drain the black tank, being -7 out there I have 50 gallons of ice riding back there.

Actually, the Hobbi is pretty simple, and is great first-time camper. As far as your hitch weights go, did you have is loaded when you measured (maybe I missed that. Once you put something in the back, the tongue weight goes down, but since the Hobbi will take cargo to nearly all the way forward, it may balance out (I'm pretty sure I haaled a Honda Recon, Yamaha Blaster and Yamaha Kodiak all at once a couple times...).

Mine are 5 on 4 1/2.. problem is the clearance above the wheel..
I thought 15's would work, but the clearance is too small and would
rub on the wheel arch over bumps at full load.. so i stayed with the 14's and fitted better spec LT truck tires.. ground clearance has never been an issue for me..

Well "middle of nowhere" is a long way to go to drink beer and admire your trailer! And YES you'll need a heater at those places in the winter, it gets COLD! If you run the heat very high at night you'll drain a single battery, if you turn it down low (I usually run mine at 50-55) the battery should be good for two nights, depending on how cold it really is.

All interior lights are 12v.

If some don't work, it could be because there's a wall switch somewhere that controls them... as well as switches on the light fixture itself, which may be off.

Is there an on board battery charger? Without the battery attached from shore power the interior lights and radio works.
