B&W Patriot

I wrote to B&W just to let them know how happy I was with my Patriot and to keep up the good work......they sent me back 2 B&W hats!
What a truly great USA company!!!

Sure looks like a Patriot rail version Slider to me.

hm.. I think those are two different products

Patriot welded vs bolted is the 18k

Slider is another product.

I didn't realize that B&W was making an 18k Patriot. So I went over to B&W's site and low and behold there is a 18k rail version slider now!

Not sure how long they have made that slider rail version but that should open up some market for them. A lot of people have the rails.

Just installed the Patriot 16k the other day with my son in law who knows metal, welding and powder coating. He said, man this hitch is really a quality built hitch. Picking up my first FW Friday morning the 13th. I just checked every where I could and all reviews pointed to the B&W.

neither of the two products share anything in terms of parts..

the bases are different (rail vs gooseneck) and the heads are different

the patriot has a bolt together frame (16k) and a pre-welded base (18k)
the Companion has an 18k (no longer sold) base and 20k base.. and then there are the puck style at 20k(ford) and 25k(ram). ..

I was talking to B&W this morning about the Patriot vs Companion and found out the "heads" are different from each other .Both lines tho can be upgraded with a new frame as I was calling to see if the 16K Patriot could get a 18K frame if ever needed or later get the Companion frame if I for some unforeseeable reason get rid of my 2012 Chevy and get a truck with a B&W gooseneck.
