I bought a 2011 Crusader 290rlt and am now shopping for a used pull vehicle. Many of the trucks on the market only have a standard bed, and I was told that some 5th wheel models are ok with a standard bed and fixed hitch while others can impact the back window in a tight turn unless you use a sliding hitch. Does anyone have any experience with the 290RLT and a standard bed pull vehicle?
I can't speak to that specific FW/truck combo, but the FW and truck in my sig will NOT hit at full lock, right or left, when going forward. ALL will hit in reverse, the slider just gives you a bit more room when before you DO hit.

The word ALL even applies to 8 ft beds as well, jack-knife far enough and ANY fiver will make contact with ANY truck (well except for that old VW Beatle with the roof mounted hitch). OTOH, all 6.5 ft truck beds will work w/o a sliding hitch with any fiver that has an extended pin box. But it depends on the owner knowing what the limitations are and paying attention.
