From my seat of the pants test, found that the elect ones recline farther back and if Lazy Boy recliners are used, you have to rock back to recline/lock it and use your feet to push foot rest all the way back in to lock that back into place.. Yes the power ones may have issues if power goes out, but I'd opt for the power ones cuz they are more comfy than manual recliners. Anything can break, so why would power seats deter you from getting something you want? Ask dealer the proverbial "what if" question if the power ones fail or you don't like them after awhile? What are the percentages of power ones failing? IDK either, but seems that most replies are against them.
