Cedar Creek Secret Cable Switch

Day 10 of our first camping trip ever in our New Cedar Creek. Problems and issues all seem to be solved except the cable issue. Supposedly there is a secret switch somewhere and no one can find it to switch the tv from Air to Cable. Have called Cedar Creek and left a voice mail but no return call yet. We found the secret hot water switch and are learning to live with the low water pressure in the shower so life is good. We have a Cedar Creek Hathaway 2015 38RD that we purchased new from the dealer and the dealer is no help. We had the cable people in and they can't find the secret switch either. We have opened everything and looked everywhere. Any suggestions.
  • Our rig doesn't have a switch for the cable vs antenna. When shore cable is plugged in, we get cable. when we use the antenna, we push the button as talked about above.
  • They usually hide it somewhere in a cabinet near the tv. Should be with other cable conections.

Look around near the main TV setup and see if you can find this WALL PLATE panel... This could be mounted under a shelf, on the wall, or even inside a a cabinet door...

This is the panel that switches 12VDC Power ON-OFF to the BATWING OTA Antenna mounted on the trailer roof where a BOOSTER AMPLIFIER is installed in the base of the BATWING antenna. It will have the name WINEGARD on it and you will see a small LED push button on it...

I have no idea what the very new trailers use for the Over The Air HDTV reception so it could be your trailer incorporates something else...

This would be the only so called "SECRET" switch I can think of for switching from CABLE and OVER-THE-AIR TV reception.

  • It is a small push switch about 1/8" diameter and usually have a LED close to it to indicate if the power is on for the antenna preamp. Must be off for cable input to work.:)
