clearance light socket

I tried to replace a bulb on the front top clearance light on a 2013 Montana 5th wheel trailer. When I inserted the new bulb the socket fell through the wire hole. I have tried in vain to find it but it has fallen into the front of the trailer. Is there a way to access the wire harness at the top front of this beast? Without tearing the trailer apart.
  • Try going to Amazon and searching for Distianert Endescope Inspection Camera. There are percent signs in the link so it won't post from here. These are Smartphone inspection cameras for +/- $25.00.
  • I think the flex camera is the best idea. Once you locate it you'll have a better chance of snagging it with a flexible grabber tool or clothes hanger. Hopefully it hasn't dropped down very far. If you can't get it, I'd be more inclined to try to thread a new wire from one of the other lights and create a new lead rather than tear apart your front cap.
  • You might take one of the clearance lights off next to the one with the dropped cord. They should be all daisy chained together. So by working from the next one over, it might help you get to your dropped wire. If you drop another one, you're really not any worse off.

  • Fish tape, coat hanger, piece of stiff wire with a hook on it. Start by taking the fixture off.
