Some of us ride year around, when the snow gets deep enough I use my paddles and auger in deeper. West of you is Woodland Park, north to Rainbow falls. West to Divide then north is the 717 trail system, which you can also get to from Woodland Park. West past Lake George just before the top of Wilkerson pass is Round Mtn. West over by Bueana Vista is the Four Mile riding area. Further west over Cottonwood pass is Taylor Park you can spend days over there and not cover it all. North about due west of Castle Rock is Rampart Range. Those are the closest trail systems to your location. Other than that it depends on what you consider close, most anything is going to be about 2 to 5 hour drive. West on I-70 by George town, further west is Flat Tops, keep going is Grand Junction. Up by Winter Park, / Frasier, Grand Lake is fun place. West of Ft Collins is Gould, Red Feathers Lake. Just stay out of the Land of No Use Wilderness areas. Make sure you get your ATV registered if not it can get a little pricey if you get stopped. If you have them the Arizona plates are not recognized in Colorado.
