We stayed at Holt's Guest Ranch on Labor Day weekend last year in Taylor Park. It was interesting to say the least. Very friendly people running it but a bit dated. Both our neighbors stayed in the cabins which are past their prime. We had our TH so had a site. Full hookups but not real big and it is mostly seasonal (more like permenant) trailers. The cows from the surround fields roam the campground and will be right outside your trailer. Interesting but no fun cleaning the cow pies I tracked on my ramp and garage after I got home. It's especially interesting to have a few bulls roaming. No camp fires allowed in the sites which sucked as it was in the 30's at night. There was a community fire pit but it got over run a bit with others.
The biggest plus in my mind was that it was very quiet there. Access to the trails is easy with 'town' being about a mile away on a graded dirt road. My next trip there will be dispersed but if I have to stay in a campground I might do this one again just because it was not crowded and was pretty quiet. As long as you have expectstions for the balance of the place it is probably ok.
