Correct Track

Is Correct Track worth installing. What does it cost to have it installed, not doing it myself ? Basically to lift my trailer.

  • Installed it myself on the previous rig. Our intent was to gain the extra 2" rather than an alignment correction. We got what we intended in that regard, but we really struggled to get the rig back into alignment afterwards. Every attempt we made created a different alignment issue, until we found a happy medium. My conclusion was that it is not as user-friendly of a system on older rigs that have short spring hangers.

Like I said, we got the extra 2" which is what we wanted. We were more than displeased with the quality of hardware. There was more than one bolt/nut that we torqued to the instructed specifications and it stripped the threads. It also made our rig less stable side-to-side.

installed mine myself and it works great got the necessary 2" of lift I needed.
Installed wet bolts and heavy duty shackles.

I wouldn't. Installed as an aftermarket item it will place more stress on your spring hangers which could cause them to break off. As an alignment it doesn't do much. It will only allow you to adjust the tracking which is how square the axles are with each other and with the frame but will only allow adjustments within its limits. It does nothing for toe adjustments or camber adjustments. A good heavy truck suspension can correct all three of these adjustments.

I guess sometimes you don't know what you don't know.
I had correct trax installed about 3 years ago to lift my trailer and create adequate bed rail clearance. It worked like a charm. It effectively raised the rear of the trailer 2". Correct trax resolved my clearance issues. My installation had nothing to do with alignment.
Correct trax was recommended to me to resolve my clearance issue.
I know of a few others that have used correct Trax for clearance purposes as well. Cost of Correct Trax installed was $750.00 or so.
