its a vicious cycle. 5er's keep getting higher, TV's get taller so they don't look too short....;-)
While correct you have the order backwards. The rv's had to get taller to be able to hook up to the skyscraper pu's.
A mfg could really get a hit with a 1T designed for RV'ers. IOW not needing a step ladder to get in. - blofgrenExplorer

I was in for an oil change today and they had a brand new 2017 F250 XLT with the 20" wheels (the tallest F250 combo) and my truck parked next to it I would say that it sits about 1.5" taller.
While looking at it my salesman came out with a set of keys and told me to take it for a test drive to see what I though as I had been asking about them for a while.
Three things stood out:
1. This thing is like a vault on wheels, extremely quiet and tight feeling (I tried the 6.7 Diesel)
2. It rides significantly smoother than my current F250
3. between being lighter and having more power and 3.55 gears it felt a lot stronger than my current truck - that and you pretty much can't hear the engine at all.

Thanks for the report. So when do you bring it home? :B
Not gonna lie, I told him to give me a ballpark on it even though I'm 18 months away from when I planned to get another.
LOL, I figured so the way you were describing it! That's why I avoid dealerships like the plague; they make me do things I shouldn't! :B - john_betExplorer IIFor me anything taller than my current truck is to tall.

I am also interested in the XLT , had the early 99 XLT Superduty somewhat regret getting rid of the 7.3, but needed more power.
Was going to ask what was the MSRP , but noticed you were from BC, going to be a lot more there then the US - alexleblancExplorer

saw one yesterday, a 250 CC long bed and it was parked on the incline of the dealership lot and it was tall. I was like dang that is tall and not sure how it would hook up and it was also $70,000 plus on the sticker.
They had a nice 2016 white lariat 350CC long bed with a sticker of $65000. I was thinking discount up to $10-15k and my 03 7.3PSD traded in and I might get out for under 40K. and the wife was like figure out how to pay for it and you can get it. There in lies another problem HOW to pay for it..

You already have the best PSD ever made!
Exactly. I would not give the 7.3L up if it is in good shape.
If you do decide to sell it you could easily sell it yourself for top dollar. They are still a very popular truck with the Ford crowd.
