- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerCHV,
I know of some people who skirt the entire trailer with either hay bales all around the bottom of the RV or they take insulation board and cut it to fit between the bottom of the RV and the ground (again all the way around)...this helps keep the belly warmer...running the internal furnace should keep the fresh water tank unfrozen anyways but can we always trust that??
Right now we have a balmy high of 3F and a wind chill of -10F... - CHV_FRKExplorerI was concerned if the water tank would freeze. Exactly how much insulation, if any, is under the tank?
I was thinking that somewhere down the road I could rig up some sort of skirt attachments for more winter camping. Not to completely seal it off, but to help with heat control....
Just got above 10 here with a WC of only 3. Not too bad. - M_GO_BLUE1Explorer-12F degrees with a wind chill of -30F degrees here this morning...you're jealous cruz aren't you????
Has anyone had a chance to use the 35RLTS in really cold weather, like 20 F and lower?...I know everything is enclosed and the only thing exposed is the outside dump valve...did you have water hookup or just water in the tank...did anything freeze on you overnight?
Let me know... - loydtExplorerWas 9 degrees here last night. Since I do not winterize mine, I put a 1500 watt space heater in kitchen and bedroom and then set furnace for 50 degrees just as a back up. It was 52 degrees in there this morning!! Thank goodness for dual pane windows!
- TravlingmanExplorer IIChecked tonight and got the pics. That is nice. I do wish they would have kept the large window in the 37RLSA. That was a big selling point for us in the 35RLTS. As long as the DW doesn't see the pics, and I keep from looking up all the goodies on it, we should be OK.:B

Man I miss trips in our Designer!!!
Tell me about it, CHV_FRK! However, a very bright light in our RV'ing planning is that Janice and I recently made reservations for our retirement trip to the Washington and Oregon Coast this September:B:B:B We hope to catch up with Cruz somewhere on that trip.

PS> Less than 197 days to go to our last day of work (July 30) but who's counting?:B - eaherrmannExplorerOurs is a "convertible" these days, waiting for the new roof to arrive.
Did anyone else notice that the Legacy only allows for 1500 lbs of cargo, jeezh, that's the DW pots, pans and appliances in ours....I like ours better. - 2QAYLExplorerYery nice, I agree, but did you notice the advertized dry weight? At 14,490 lbs that's way too heavy for me and if our Designer is any indication the delivery weight is well above that. Add all the stuff that the DW can put into one of these units......YIKES!:E
Dave - CHV_FRKExplorerI looked at it yesterday and the pics were up. Looks ok... I like the extra insulation properties too, especially since it's 0 outside right now. Man I miss trips in our Designer!!!
