I saw the one pedal on the right side.... - ewagnrExplorerWell as for how we optioned the unit we really spent more than we ever planned on.(I'm sure we're the first buyers to ever do THAT) It's just so easy to check off items when ordering, unlike choosing between units in stock. Gel-coat, maple cabinets,10 ft frig,washer,42"tv,both vents,2nd AC,mor/ryde pkg, awnings, other stuff. One thing that couldn't be changed was the interior, so we ended up with our 2nd choice, Cape Verde.
I did want the generator prep; it lists on the web site for $464. But the retail is actually over $700, so I nixed that one. What will I be missing just plugging the shoreline into a portable gen?
Eric - eaherrmannExplorerWelcome Aboard ewagner:B.....quick call Buffalo RV and talk with Ryan, tell them we referred you:W, It's got to be worth sumpthin. We're not so patiently waiting for ours to arrive in the next couple of weeks, at least we rcvd our vin#. Hit page one of this link to find the link to the last link, it's a good link.:h
- M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerYeah CHV don't agitate the moderator...would hate to make you go sit in the corner! :p
When you are ready ewagnr just let us know what you're questions are!
So what interior did you get? what options? - ewagnrExplorerGlad this thread started after the other one closed... I've been lurking for some time as we shopped for a new 5er. The Designer has been our benchmark we've been measuring the competition against, and the time finally came to stop shopping. The winner... 35RLTS!!!
We ordered (adjusted the dealers preorder) one yesterday from Buffalo RV. The cool part is since it was already set to go into production it should be delivered in 2-3 weeks.
The deal we made saved about 28% off list. Good? Average?
Don't agitate the moderator guys; I'll be having plenty of questions soon!
Eric - eaherrmannExplorerThanks to everyone's experiences we're going to have the dealer install skid bars to the bottom of our 5ver before we even get there. I am interested in what the "average" clearance is amongst our 35RLTS and Ram 3500 owners is. ie..ground to trailer in the back and truck to trailer in the front.
BReed0715, we too ripped a door off of our first TT when opening the slide, hard lesson but remembered for life. As far as the carpet stain, someone over lubricated the rails on that slide. You can try and clean up the grease and then apply some 3m stain blocker, if it was us, I can guarantee you my wife would be tapping her foot at the dealership (that means somebody's about to get hurt) - cruzExplorer

.... watch when you pull the pin to let the front legs down...very easy to pull that pin all the way out and almost impossible to get back in...
Also is there only one outlet (next to the steps) for the central vac system? Would be nice to have one wither on the outside or in the big walk thru cargo hold)
The Pins on my front landing gear do not come out!?! :h and I tug pretty hard on them to release the legs ... they're spring loaded.
Yes only one outlet for the vac, and the hose is really heavy !?!?
It would be very simple to add another outlet in the basement area. When you open the basement door there is a sliding panel to your left. (one screw in the center holds mine in place).
Just remove the screw and slide it open. In there you will find the inverter, the Central Vac (this is where you clean it out), and on the far side your heater. The "plumbing" for the vac is easily accessable, so all you would really need is an outlet like the one inside, and a suitable place to mount it. Wiring up the outlet "should be" fairly simple since the vac is right there as well.
Oh ... make sure the bag is installed in the vac before using it. Mine was just laying in there ... but fortunately I checked before using it !!
CRUZ - M_GO_BLUE1ExplorerI beleive on mine I have about 8" between the 5er and the bed rails so good to go there...discovered a big notch in the bathroom sink (was hard to see at first) so am getting that replaced and also watch when you pull the pin to let the front legs down...very easy to pull that pin all the way out and almost impossible to get back in...
