- sanderson_66ExplorerSorry about your "trouble". I must confess...I'm a bit nervous about bedrail clearance. I know the Mor Ryde will have to be in it's tallest position for sure. Loydt has the same truck as us and his looked fairly decent in his recent photo post. I believe his Mor Ryde was even in the shortest position at the time. What did your clearance measure at the time of the mishap...that we don't want to know about? Did the truck fair OK...or maybe we don't want to know...?
- TravlingmanExplorer IIHave mine at the dealer getting some things fixed, I would suggest everyone check the distance of their bed rails. You don't want to know. Also having the rig raised up to level it off. On the rear stabilizers, my dealer has been moving some of them toward the wheel from their present location. After leveling the rig, they will decide if they move them or not.

A cautionary note on Jayco Designer valences:
On both our 2000 Designer 3110RLTS and our 2006 34RLQS we had problems with the valences, i.e. the upholstered box-like fixtures that hold the drapes and day/night shades, being insufficiently anchored. In both cases we had them actually fall out during travel; and in the case of the 34RLQS, doing some damage both to the interior of the trailer and to the shade in the process. Now we've had a similar problem with the shade at the rear of the curb-side slide, i.e. the slide with the 2 chairs and table, in the new trailer. It was secured by only 2 screws, and the one furthest from the curb wall had missed anything substantial and pulled out. The valence didn't fall because it remained secure with one screw but how long that would have lasted is anyone's guess. I think it's worth checking to make sure the screws are all into something solid and to even run a few more screws in to make sure. .....

..... Still need to find a resolution on those darn cheap clips on the mirrored wardrobe doors...going to take them off and put a piece of wood dowel behind each door to prevent movement while traveling
We broke the original ones the second night out !! Believe it or not I bought some cheaper ones that were more flexible and a little longer. I had to drill a couple of holes in each one and was able to line up with the original holes.
They have to be lined up just right, but the doors slide right into them and lock in place. Much easier to open as well ... and still work great !!
I'll see if I can get a pic of them in the next week or two, or even the name and part number for it.
I can tell you CW DOES NOT have these type. ... at least that I could find.
CRUZ - CarNDenExplorer III went to the RV Show her in Pensacola today and made it a point to go into the Designer 35RLTS. I can see why this rig has such a following. It's just beautiful. I fell in love with it! I loved the sofa, and the pull out counter among other things.
We're happy with our little Cougar for now but if I could talk DH into a larger rig, well, it would be this one.
So Congrats to all that have it or are getting it!! - loydtExplorerOk, anybody able to get me a pic of the bike rack hitch attatchment in conjunction with the rear electric gear?
Also, I am getting ready to begin the task of installing some kind of skid protection on the back of this thing. I have nightmares of that rear motor being ripped off due to a drag!! - CHV_FRKExplorerAll Designers are equipped with Goodyears from the factory. FYI (posted a WHILE ago) check your valve stem nuts. A decent percentage have been loose from the dealer. Just make sure they are tight and you won't have that mystery leak.
- eaherrmannExplorerBCCDAL, I was hoping I misread that. And I'm glad you told us about the vac vent, didn't break theirs and won't break mine. OK, next person to walk by their 5vr......Tires---Goodyear's? If not, which brand? I'm sure they're the good ones, just wondering out loud.
thanks - BCCDALExplorereaherrmann.....the 15800 is not the delivered weight it is the max weight of the trailer with all the fresh water and propane tanks full with your gear on board. The vaccum port next to the stereo is not where you plug in the vacumm. It is the vaccum exhaust. Do not try to open it as the flapper will break off. You will enjoy your new Designer 35rlts.
O - eaherrmannExplorerHey All,
Just a quick ring in on a 35RLTS we saw today (if we can't get ours we'll visit one on the lot, pitiful huh?:o) This unit was maxed out with every option except the tub and the convection oven. What caught our attention was the 15800lbs as delivered weight and how awfully low the back jacks were:E. We're guessing our will be a bit less. This unit also had an outside port for the vacuum next to the stereo system :?!?! Sad thing is we didn't even know this dealer existed, :S we found them by accident while visiting the CG were taking ours on for it's maiden voyage. Even when we used the Jayco dealer finder, we only had one in the state and we hate the pressure sales tactics at that location. The dealer was really bummed he missed out on a great sell and even told us straight up that we can always use him for any service we need, maybe will get the next one from him. Now the kicker, he gave me their asking price for the one we were sitting in, turned out to be the same exact discount we got from RV discounters, say the least th DW :M is grumpin big time, we should be camping. Almost, and I do mean by the smallest almost possible, wrote a check for the deposit for that one, BUT, we got a signed contract and my word is my word.....live and learn. It's still for sale if you know someone who's interested.:W
