- Aquaholic502ExplorerHas anyone tried to put a larger tv in. I'm thinking of upgradeing the tv above the door which is a 32in and put that one outside. Samsung has a 39in tv that im hoping would fit.
- Aquaholic502ExplorerThanks for the input. It was a 100+ degrees when this happened so I'm sure that helped make it fail. I will talk to manufacturer to see if I can get some new gears but will try the temporary fix with the bolts.

Well another problem just popped up. Looks like no power to the fuel pump. I was pumping gas and everything all of a sudden shut off. Even the gage stopped working.
when mine did this it was the fuse that burnt out. It burnt out due to the fuel pump gears swelling. Replacing the fuse just caused more burnt fuses.
I contacted the manufacture of the fuel pump and they sent me a free rebuild kit with new gears. I measured the replacement gears and then sanded down the stock swollen gears. I used the replacement gears until I traded it off without any more issues and had kept the sanded down gears as a back up set.
_ - StrutterExplorerThe rubber impeller lobes swell and lock up the pump. I've found this to be more prevalent in warmer weather. On the pump head there are 4 bolts. You can see them when laying under the fueling station. Just loosen them up a tad and try the pump. I tried pumping gas for my law mower last week and the same thing happened to mine. This fixed the problem.
- Aquaholic502ExplorerI just checked the fuse and sure enough its blown. Now makes me wonder why pump is blowing fuse.

..It pumped only one cup and went out (gas to start fire lol). The generator started fine after it went out...
I have the same problem. I pumped a cup to start the campfire and shut it off. Coming home from Pismo, some motorcycle dude ran out of gas and I went to fill him up and nothing. Fuse seems ok. Need to tear into it. I have a 2012 FL28AKLG. :( - Aquaholic502Explorer

Fuse? Short and blown fuse? Pumped too long, straining the fuse and blowing it? Is it on the same pump circuit as the generator?
I have not checked the fuse yet but that is what I'm hoping it is. It pumped only one cup and went out (gas to start fire lol). The generator started fine after it went out. When I get back to it I will check the fuses. - bradley0128Explorer

I have not had that problem with the water heater stereo.
On the topic of stereo, mine has an external controller mounted on the outside of the camper. It will do everything except turn the volume DOWN....kind of annoying at times. Anyone else have this problem? I've also notice the stereo itself is kind of junky. Much of the time, when I press a certain button on it, it will do something else. Anyone else try replacing it with a newer model? I'd love to have something that the external control actually fully works.
Isn't the stock stereo a Jensen? If so its pretty much junk and the same can be said for the tiny/laughable Insignia flat screens they put in their haulers. They would be better off just pre-wiring the unit, knocking a few hundred dollars off and letting owners put in their own decent quality A/V equipment. I know when I get my 28SAG (hopefully sometime soon) I will be ripping all that junk out.
I agree that they would be ahead of making the stuff all optional but the pre-wiring standard. Most buyers would not want to install their own, not knowing how, nor want to pay someone else to do it. Those of us that come to forums like here are not the average owner. I bought mine used, but if buying new, would love to have several hundred knocked off to put towards tv's and stereo of my choosing.
My stereo is a Rockford Fosgate. It is above Jensen quality, I'd think. That said, I've owned several decent Jensens in the past. I would love to replace it fully, but not sure what to do about that external control unit. That is Rockford Fosgate specific. I do plan to contact RF to see about replacement.
The tv's are okay, getting the job done. I, personally, would never put 3 tv's in my camper. I don't need one in the bedroom nor the garage, but I can see them being nice at times, so having them pre-wired and not installed would be great. I actually did remove the 32" and the huge box around it from the main room and replace it with a 48" on the only wall that would fit it. I plan to use the bottom of that box to mount it up higher and make an A/V shelf out of it to hold a hard drive, etc for the tv.
