Now pay attention to the trucks rear axle weight numbers as its going to carry all the weight of a trailer hitch load.
Your truck may have a 6084 or 6200 RAWR......your trucks rear axle may weigh in the 3000 lb range which leaves you with a 3084-3200 lb payload for the trailers pin weight. Your actual scaled weights will tell you the exact numbers.
You'll be amazed how easy the truck will handle that small trailer. great match.
Since his truck sticker shows a 2290 payload where are you getting over 3K???
Simple math. Subtract the trucks unladin rear axle weight of (3080 lbs per the OP) from the trucks (6084 RAWR per the op) gives his truck a 3008 lb payload the truck can safely carry in the bed.
Some here are forgetting the OP says the trailers has a 9900 GVWR so it may or may not weigh its full GVWR.
The OP truck has plenty of reserve load carrying capacity for that size trailer.
