- Toolguy5Explorer IIIOurs works great as well. What is nice when the furnace is on and the bedroom door closed it gets very warm in the bedroom. That leaves the living room a little chilly. You turn the fireplace on and it takes the chill off the living area.
We had the kids stay a couple of nights had the fireplace on to keep them warm when sleeping on the sofa bed.
I always thought why would you want a fireplace in a camper. But I would buy one again with one in it.
Dan - rseymour21ExplorerI don't have one, but positive my next 5th will have one. I think they look good and it would be one less little heater that I have to put somewhere, weather for use or storage. I know it doesn't take much space, but it does take some.
- waltbennettExplorerOurs works extremely well. Got a second small heater for when it's really cold as I hate the furnace cycling on when it's too cold and then not turning off until it's too hot. Don't use it unless there's a hard freeze and we've got to keep water lines from freezing.
- NC_HaulerExplorerLove our's...as stated it's just a 1500 watt heater with blower, but I think the flames really look neat, and with the sliding doors that can shut off our living room, it can REALLY heat uo that area in a short time. Camping this past November in WV when temps got to zero and below, that heater kept our living room area quite warm..to the point we would have to open the doors to allow heat out of the area...Our's hasn't had an issue and our 5er is an 06'. Pulled it out once to really give it a good cleaning and it seemed to weigh all of 25#, maybe... I've got tons of storage space, so this fireplace only makes the living room that much more comfortable..heck, you can have a "fire" going in the fireplace in the summer time and just turn off the heat..pretty cool..."pun intended".:B

a waste of space/weight/ and money. a $17 cube heater from walmart puts out the same heat. if you like phony ambiance, go for it. saw one years back in a truck camper. if there is any thing that you need less weight, more storage in it would be a TC.
