The turbo upgrade for the 2015 is for better exhaust braking and better performance at high altitude. I drive a 2011 6.7 PS for work (82,000 + miles) and the exhaust brake is not even comparable on it to the Cummins or Duramax ebrake. The 2015 changed that, and the ebrake works as well as the other 2 brands, plus it has a switch to turn it on and off. I'd go for the '15.
