Generator- gasoline or propane?

I have gas burner. Uses about 1/2 gallon/hr so 6 gallon tank runs about 12 hours.
To prevent gum-up, every time I fill tank I add sta-bil, 2oz per 5 gallons. This is especially critical with "e" gas. When not dry camping, I try to start unit monthly and let run an hour or so. Equipment needs to be used
