Generator- gasoline or propane?

Our manufacturer only offered propane. We do not carry any gasoline at all as we have a diesel truck. The one time we were at a campground with a long power outage, we had a very difficult time finding gas for our portable Hondas. The entire area had no power, some areas for several days. It took us a couple hours to locate a gas station that had fuel and it was mobbed. Our Onan 5500 is just as quiet as our Honda portables were. If we need a/c, we will be staying in a campground. We now carry a couple extra 20 lb propane tanks with us (fulltimers),
