That is absolutely amazing. Three failures and still using the same tire size, model and brand? Why not buy a tire that doesn't fail?
OK, give me the name of a brand that is guaranteed to never fail .... wait a moment I'll make it a bit easier, give me the name of a brand that is guaranteed not to fail for 5 years of use with little, if any, regard for miles of use and I'll give it serious consideration .... my bet is you can't do so, nor can anyone else because that tire doesn't exist .... until it does, I'll stick with the only one that will pay for the damage .... as others have noted, the failures we experienced were years ago, as best I can remember the last one was back in '06 or '07

There are no guarantees but 3 failures,3 repairs would be enough for me to do something differently. Otherwise I'd be still running OEM ST's.
Bottom line is there is now an alternative available, if your happy paying $200.00 or so per tire more feel free to stick with GY it's your money.
I'll take the savings and give the cheaper guy a look. So far there have been no blowouts reported on line anywhere vs. the numerous claims filed against Goodyear.
I am not naive enough to think Sailun is building the perfect tire but I have done enough research to understand they are a serious competitor.
For now the the final verdict on Sailun is not out .
Only time will tell if Sailuin's are truly as good as the Goodyears. In the meantime,I'll take the savings and put it in my damage fund if needed. Currently my fund contains $800.00 in savings
