I am considering buying Hankook 215/75R17.5 TH-10 tires on our 5th wheel. We will be replacing 16 inch wheels with 17.5.
Any thoughts on this tire? - ramburgyExplorer

I have 3 of these tires on my fifth wheel; about 20k on them now with no problems. My trailer weighs about 17k.

TH-10 is a 16 ply tire.
AH-11 is a 12 ply tire.
The TH-10 is better for weight, and I need that more than speed.
Your statement leads me to believe that the tire are actually 12 ply?
Surely just a statement of rating. Why go back to ply ratings as opposed to load range?
Agree, it's more about load range now a day's as opposed to talking about 10 ply 12 ply. More about construction and weight of the tire and it's weight rating. - Dave_H_MExplorer II

You know that TH-10 is rated at 65 MPH. You can get the AH-11 in LRF or LRG and they are rated at 75 mph.

FastEagle - FastEagleExplorerThe medium truck tire designed for low platform trailer service is probably the best type of tire on the market for RV trailer axles from 6000# - 8000#. The tire can be purchased in sizes with load ranges F-G-J or H with speed ratings from 62 MPH to 75 MPH. Profiles comparable with 16” tires can easily be found. You can get them from “off shore” tire manufacturers or a multitude of domestic tire manufacturers.
Researching the brand names can be done by visiting the NHTSA tire defects/complaints data base.
