there should be a total of 5 holes with plugs.

the 4 where the hitch goes (two in the picture)
and the big center hole for the GN ball.

Since it appears you are getting the fifth wheel prep with your vehicle. then I will suggest an air ride hitch.

Hensley air ride hitches.

And here is how that hitch, with an adapter, will fit right into the Ford factory fifth wheel prep: video, towards bottom of page

I'm very happy with my Reese Elite 18k. Under bed rails, easy in and out.

IIRC there was an OEM version of the B&W that will work with this prep...

the 5th prep.. if you want under the bed, then you gotta do something. this is as good as anything else. but it can limit your hitch choices..

Reese and B&W both make hitches that fit the prep.. I've seen one guy add the prep after delivery.. usually u gotta get it from the factory. ford 5th wheel prep kit

and you can do the B&W turnoverball underbed, and the B&W Companion for roughly the same price, and get the same function too.

IIRC there was an OEM version of the B&W that will work with this prep...

B&W for me. Quiet, foolproof, easy to remove/install and I like having a railless bed. Since we are having a contest, I am 70 and still able to remove and install mine by myself, although I am in the process of making a hoist so my back can last a few more years.

We paid $340.00 for a Husky 16K from a local trailer supply.
The rails would have cost $180.00 installed.
We already had universal rails so they weren't needed.

The Husky has around 12000# hanging on it.
Works well, unhitches easily and is easily removable.

I actually set and assembled it myself.
Very simple to do.
