It finally quit raining, and I took some measurements on my new to me 2013 Jayco HT 26.5RLS, 7k dry, 10k gross. I measured from the asphalt to the rv frame, and I also had to raise my B&W to get 7" over the bed.Front of rv 29"front of tires 26"between tires 24"behind tires 23"rear of rv 21"The leaf springs look pretty flat, so I could gain some by going from 4 to new 5 pack leafs.I've been on here for years, and know there are some folks who have done this before. Thanks for any advice. BTW this 5th wheel tows great after having a 12k one.Gary

Well I would guess about 6", I think a better method would be to measure/calculate the height of the hitch plate from the ground with your 5th wheel attached on a level surface.Then on the same level surface disconnect the 5er, and level.Then measure the distance from the bottom of the pin plate to the ground. The difference between the two is how tall sub frame needs to be to tow level.PS: Nice looking combo!!Great picture also, looks like you have a nice level parking lot empty on the weekends, take advantage of it!!

Are the axles flipped? Pull the rig onto some 2x8 and see how much it takes to get it level. The flip can be calculated by adding the radius of the axle + the perch + the spring pack. I installed new sprigs and noticed that they didn't arch as much as some trailers I've owned. Correct track can also provide about 2 inches of lift I believe.

Yes the springs are on top of the axle, and thanks for the measuring idea. I've also looked at the correct track, and 3" blocks under the leafs, for 5" total. It's not going to be cheap any way I go.

Are the axles flipped? Pull the rig onto some 2x8 and see how much it takes to get it level. The flip can be calculated by adding the radius of the axle + the perch + the spring pack. I installed new sprigs and noticed that they didn't arch as much as some trailers I've owned. Correct track can also provide about 2 inches of lift I believe.
