- CloudDriverExplorerWe drove 191 from Rock Springs to Jackson on June 4th last year. All good 2 lane road with some occasional passing lanes. According to the Wyoming DOT the construction of a new roundabout (aka traffic circle) is complete. Construction of the new bridge over the Snake River continues with the old bridge still in use. Scroll down to the bottom of the page in the above link and click on the Photo Gallery link. A picture of the completed roundabout is at the bottom.
You have two choices to get to Henry's Lake from Hoback Junction.
Either go over the bridge south to Alpine Junction then route 26 to pick up route 20 at Idaho Falls or go north from Hoback Junction through Grand Teton and Yellowstone and out the west entrance. Don't take an RV over the Teton Pass, route 22 from Jackson to Victor. - TexasShadowExplorer IIWhen we went to Henry's Lake last May (last year) they were working on the junction at Hoback Junction, but it wasn't too bad. After we rounded the corner going South, it was fine and the rest of the road, too.
- DesertHawkExplorerWe drove it down from Jackson in 2010. I do not remember it being too bad. I do remember road construction on one section of it for several miles. Had a wait for a Pilot car to come, etc, not too rough but a little, maybe. Dirt at times in the construction parts.
