As someone who just shelled out the money for a Lippert hydraulic pump replacement without it fixing or changing my symptoms, I advise caution and forethought before you do. These hydraulic systems have too many failure points to be properly troubleshot (especially for an older system - think 10 years of valve degradation from weather/temperature changes) which can lead to unnecessary replacements. Unless you are a hydraulics expert, I would recommend getting expert advice and being very thorough about vetting that expertise (anyone who claims that these things are easy to troubleshoot and that they can guarantee that replacing this or that will fix the problem for sure is _not_ an expert - with hydraulics you cannot know for sure if your problem is resolved until the part is replaced).
Take it from me, nothing is more frustrating than shelling out for the replacement, but being in the exact same situation afterwards with no recourse.
