I need help finding the exact TH I'm looking for...
OK, so at the end of the day I am sure I will need to make a couple consessions here or there, but before I do that I want to check with you guys to see if there is something I am missing. I am ready to trade my travel trailer in on a 5er TH but cant seem to find exactly what I want. With that said, Yes I know my requests are really pigeon holing my options but I want it to be that way first before I decide what I am willing to give up. So.. here are the things I would likt to find.
1- Double axle only. Towing with a 3/4 ton diesel and the tripples all seem to be too heavy (correct me if I'm wrong). I know that limits my options but it is what it is
2- Minimum 11' garage (UTV is 10'6" long)
3- At least 2 slides (Bedroom and living area)
4- A Pantry. Sounds stupid but it amazes me how many do not have a pantry. Right now we do not have a pantry and we end up with bags of food laying around
5- A closet of some sort to hang jackets preferable as soon as you walk in the main entrance. Many have a door to the bathroom which to me is not necessary. I prefer more storage
6- A "couch" type of seating as oppsoed to the U shaped dinette. It can have a curve to it but it will be used for seating and rarely for eating so I want seating comfort.
7- Cabinetry in the garage area. This will be my daughters room so it is nice to have cabinets for clothing etc.
8- good insulation and heated tanks. I camp all year and here in PA we can get single digit nights in the winter
Other things that I want but are not deal breakers are the 6 point level up would be awesome but not totally necessary, larger hot water heater (10 gal +) Dual AC and Gen are nice but again not deal breakers.
The closest unit I have found to everything I have above is the Columbus F3400TH. The only thing missing for us is it has the U shape dinette which just does not look very comfortable. The storage is great in this unit compared to the Fuzion, XR, etc but the others have nicer seating. Any recommendations are welcome. Could I maybe remove the U dinette and put residential furniture??? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
