- cbighamExplorer IIIBack from the dead, up here now looking for good street and dual sport rides! Rose Coffee Creek to its end, any great thru ride for street?
- cbighamExplorer IIIOK. Headed South from Husky thru the pass I remember being pretty sandy and whooped out. The monument itself, a little. Clean riding to the North and East. PM me when you get a chance and I will get to it. It was a good ride.

sorry I checked this late - I dunno how to do that. I did track it with the trimble gps on my droid. The area is kinda pristine, not whooped out, few riders until you actually get to the monument. PM me, I may be able to better describe.
No worries. I was just curious. - cbighamExplorer IIIdedmiston-

Thanks for the tips. ..
Oddly enough, headed to the Calico/Randsburg area this weekend. I found the way thru from Barstow/Mudd Hills to the Husky Monument and the rest of Randsburg a couple of weekends ago. Fun stuff.
Will be following this thread as we get closer. Love to take you locals up on the offer! I've got a xr600 as well, with some stickier tires like a kenda 270 on the rear should be good to go. That damn bike pulls almost as hard in the twisties as the Buell! Should be a hoot! We have reservations at Trinity Center.
Can you post a map? I'd like to see that. Sounds like fun.
I wish it weren't so whooped out around the Husky Monument. - cbighamExplorer IIIThanks for the tips. ..

It turns left off the Hwy above the town of Orick and before you get to the turn off for Prairie Creek State Park. Plenty of Elk wandering around the area as well.
- offtohavasuExplorerMy wife and I dropve up the coast for our honeymoon and ended at the Redwoods. We went North on the 101 and exited hwy 254. At the entrance you can pick up a map. Founder's Grove is a must see.

There is DS everywhere around here.....I can't remember the last time I loaded and transported my bike locally!
There is a pretty cool back country road from Weitchpec and comes out in the redwoods just north of Orick called Bald Hills. If you are looking for a longer loop, figure that one in too.
I'll be invading your area next month.....
UTV riding in Jawbone/Dove Springs, Randsburg, Calico, and Rasor Rd areas. Hope 9 days will be enough to get a decent trip done.
Done that road in a truck a few years ago.
If you have not been down this way in awhile, MANY "Red Stakes" (Closed trail) have been put up. Should not be a problem with a UTV, but the bike guys want more of a challenge.
10 days of having DW and 2 dogs around me 24/7 has me a bit on edge, four more days this weekend :E - Crazy_CooterExplorerThere is DS everywhere around here.....I can't remember the last time I loaded and transported my bike locally!
