We are new to camping. We purchased a 39.5 foot fifth wheel last fall. We also bought a brand new Ford 250 Super Duty Diesel. Now we are hearing conflicting advice on weather or not our truck is sufficient to pull the rig. Any advice? Everything we read says it's right on the line. Should have gotten a 350?
We did the same thing first time out. Had bought a brand new F250 6.7 that could "pull anything we wanted". Then found a 38 ft Montana. Two trips out it was obvious in handling and scales that it was over limits, but the dealer was right - it would pull anything. After much angst and deliberation, traded the '15 F250 for a '16 F350 DRW. Now we full time and have never regretted the decision.
